Tumkur, Sep 6: Blinded by anger, an agitated husband killed his wife before committing suicide in Sira town of the district on Sunday September 5.
Nagaraj (29) from Guligenahally in Sira taluk, and his wife, Mamata (25), lost their lives in this way. Reportedly, there had been some misunderstandings between the two relating to some family disputes, and they had quarrelled a few times.
It is saidthat when the two were going together to attend some work on Sunday, Nagaraj hit his wife’s head with an iron rod and killed her. Thereafter, he used a knife to kill himself. It is felt that he did this out of frustration after his wife raked up the issues on which the two had a disagreement.
The Sira police have registered a case. Investigations are continuing.
