Udupi, Jul 26: All the necessary measures are being taken to control Covid-19 virus and to break its chain as per government orders. There is a decrease in Covid cases due to their effective implementation.

Deputy commissioner (DC) G Jagadeesha exercising his powers under CRPC section 144(3) has announced the following relaxations as found right to add to the state government orders for public welfare.

As regards religious activities in the district, temples, mosques, churches, gurudwara and other religious places can be opened from July 25 on condition that Covid protocol and S O P released by the concerned department will be followed.

Fairs, temple feasts, processions and gatherings are not permitted.

Amusement parks and such other places can be opened observing the guidelines released by the department of health and family welfare. Water sports and adventure activities relating to water are not permitted.

“Criminal cases will be registered and legal action will be taken at police stations against violators under disaster management Act 2005, Karnataka Epidemic Diseases Act 2020 and IPC section 188,” said Jagadeesha.
