Tumakuru: Electricity transmitted through flagpole kills student

Tumakuru, Aug 16: In a shocking incident, a student lost his life as electricity flew through the flagpole which the students were trying to install.

On Sunday August 15, three students of Karikere village school in the taluk were trying to install the flagpole of the school in the groove meant for it for hoisting the tricolour. Shashank (16), Pavan (22) and Chandan (16) were straightening the pole for being planted in the hole dug for the purpose when the pole accidentally came in contact with power cables passing in front of the school.

All the three were injured in the incident. Chandan breathed his shortly without responding to treatment.
