Mangaluru, Aug 16: Reacting to the disruption of Independence Day programme at Puttur by SDPI activists, MLA U T Khader said, “The incident is unfortunate. There are certain rules and regulations to conduct Independence Day events.

"Taking law into hands and disrupting the procession is completely wrong. Taking law into hands is of no use at all. It was not right to stop the chariot," he said.
