In his complaint, Dr Lohith Kumar Suvarna, an insurance agent by profession and a social worker, said, "I have been an activist of All India Hindu Maha Sabha since 2003. Since February 2019 I am serving as the state president of HMS.
"I have come to Mangaluru to file a complaint against Rajesh Pavithran of Kulai, Dharmendra of Urwa and Sandeep Shetty Adka as I received complaints against them that they are misusing the name of HMS and also making false propaganda against me and the party. They have been rusticated from HMS.
"The eight accused held a press conference in Putthumudi Saudha auditorium of Ballalbagh in the city on Saturday, September 18 in the name of HMS and have misused the letterhead of pre-independent HMS which has the New Delhi address on it.
"In the press conference, Dharmendra spoke ill about the state BJP on the issue of temple demolition of Mysuru and said that state BJP has backstabbed the Hindus and is eying on the vote bank of Muslims. Addressing the CM, Dharmendra had said, 'We have not spared Gandhiji, you are nothing to us at all. Do you think that we, who have killed Gandhiji cannot think of doing the same to you?' while mentiontioning the names of CM Bommai, former CM Yediyurappa and muzrai minister Shashikala Jolle.
"In addition, Dharmendra expressed his objection against the government not demolishing any church of mosque and only demolishing temple. By this, he has made provocative speech in order to create communal disturbance in a sensitive area like Mangaluru," the complaint states.
"The statement given by Dharmendra that HMS has killed Gandhiji is unpardonable crime. By giving such statement he is trying to create division in our party," Lohith Kumar stated.
"Rajesh Pavithran, president of unofficial HMS and one of the accused is already accused in a honey trap case in Barke police station earlier. There are attempt to murder cases filed on him at Kavoor police station and in Bengaluru also.
"All India Hindu Maha Sabha and the state unit does not have any connection with the press conference held by unofficial group of people who themselves call as members of HMS," he said.
"So I hereby request you to register an FIR against the accused and take legal action on them," he urged the police.
