Oct 7: DK reports 43 corona cases, one death; Udupi adds 17 infections

Mangaluru/Udupi,Oct 7: Dakshina Kannada on Thursday, October 7 reported 43 new coronavirus cases. The case positivity rate for the district stands at 0.48%.

As per the district health bulletin, a total of 19,26,097 samples have been tested so far, out of which 18,11,347 have turned out to be negative.

The total number of positive cases in the district has risen to 1,14,750 out of which 648 are currently active.

As many as 138 patients were discharged from hospitals on Thursday, taking the total number of recoveries to 112433.

The death in the district on Thursday is 1. The death toll in the district so far stands at 1,669.

The district administration has collected Rs 1,07,02,470 in fines for 88,097 mask violations.

Udupi

As per the district health bulletin, as many as 11,55,765 samples have been tested for the second wave of coronavirus.

As many as 17 new cases were reported on Thursday, taking the total number of cases to 76,437 out of which 67 are currently active.

A total of 27 patients were discharged from hospitals on Thursday, taking the total number of recoveries to 75,896 for the second wave.
