Mangaluru, Oct 8: In retaliation for an incident in which a youth was assaulted late night on Wednesday October 6 at Moodushedde in the city outskirts, a gang of rowdy sheeters reportedly brandished swords and posed death threat. The incident happened on the evening of Thursday October 7.
A gang, comprising Mustafa, Nizam, Shah Rukh and another person, led by Rizwan reportedly threatened of murder. They are said to have been named as accused in the murder of Vamanjur Charan which happened a few years back.
At around 10 pm on Wednesday, a youth identified as Muhammed Ashpar, was standing near a shop at Pilikula Nisargadhama in Moodushedde. Four strangers who were passing by on motorbikes had blared their horns. Ashpar had objected to this behaviour. After sometime, four miscreants who returned in an auto rickshaw, had attacked Ashpar before disappearing from the scene.
On Thursday evening, a gang led by Rizwan flashed swords and threatened the persons accused of attacking Ashpar the previous day. They are said to have challenged the gang to show their mettle in their presence rather than threatening small kids.
Relating to these incidents, no case has been registered at Kavoor police station so far.
