Mangaluru: 45-year-old woman dies in scooter-tipper collision

Mangaluru, Oct 30: In a tragic incident, a woman died in an accident between scooter and tipper at Padil on Saturday October 30.

The deceased has been identified as Vidya Kanwatheertha (45) who was working as a marketing manager at Campco.

Vidya was travelling from Bondel in her two-wheeler. The mishap took place when she reached Padil.

It is learnt that she was working as a marketing manager at Campco for two years.

Kadri traffic police station registered a case.

    Innal Lillahi Wainna Ilaihi Rajioon. Heavy vehicles should be allowed inde the city for 2-3 hours daily with the minium speed limit of 30km/h maintaing single track without overtaking the other vehicle, thats the only solution Nisar

    Rest in peace and May God strength to your family to recover from this tragedy. The government should ban the movement of heavy vehicles during certain hours of the day as this is done in many countries. Many such accidents happed due to trucks etc.
