Mangaluru, Nov 15: The 11th General Body meeting of Mulageni Rakshana Vedike (R) Mangaluru and Udupi, was held in Shanthi Nilaya Auditorium, Balmatta Circle, Balmatta, at 10.15 am on Sunday, November 14, 2021. The members and Mulageni affected citizens from all coastal districts were present.
Sr Advocate, M K Vijaya Kumar, legal advisor of the Vedike was the chief guest. Nazir Ullal, of JDS and Manohar were guests of honour.
President of Vedike, Maxim D'silva Welcomed the gathering. Yashodar K the vice president of Vedike, welcomed the guests.
S S Shet, representative of Udupi district read the report and placed the account before the members.
Capt Ganesh Karnik, was also a guest of honour for the programme. Advocate M K Vijaykumar briefed the members present on the recent development of the legal battle what the Vedike has been fighting from past decade.
Later, Capt Ganesh Karnik spoke to the members and assured all assistance in helping the Mulangeni Tenants, in getting justice from the authorities in coming days.
The turnout for this 11th General body meet was tremendous and a big number attended the event. Lesy Miranda, conducted the programme and Gerard Towers, proposed the vote of thanks.
The meeting concluded by singing National Anthem.
