Udupi: Prayer meet held at birth place of Servant of God Fr Alfred Roche

Udupi, Nov 15: The committee for the Beatification and Canonization organized a prayer meet at the birth place of the Servant of God father Alfred Roche, OFM, Cap, on Monday November 15.

The prayer held at the resident of Wilfred Roche. It commenced with a note of welcome by Fr Santa Lopez, OFM, Cap, the vice postulator for the cause of Fr Alfred Roche. Thereafter a short prayer service was animated by Margaret D’Souza, gurkarn of the ward. A short reflection on the Word of God was given by Fr Joachim D’Souza, OFM Cap. The prayer ended with a prayer to the servant of God and a hymn to Mother Mary.

On the same occasion the release of the invitation for the inaugural ceremony of the initiation of the diocesan process and 25th death anniversary of the servant of God Fr Alfred Roche was held. Fr Philip Neri, parish priest, St Peter Church, Barkur, Fr Victor Fernandes, OFM, Cap, parish priest, Holy Family Church, Brahmavar, release the invitations handed over to the guest on the occasion.

On this occasion, Fr Joslie D'Silva OFM Cap, Fr Dominic Savio OFM Cap, Fr Anston Fernandes and Franciscan Sisters of Immaculate from Karunalaya Ashram were present.

Fr Rohan Lobo OFM Cap. Proposed the vote of thanks.

Refreshments were served by the family members. This occasion was witnessed by enthusiastic followers of Fr Alfred Roche.
