Karkala, Nov 16: A legal awareness programme on children’s rights and protection was held for school children in the leadership of Kedinje Vidyabodini aided higher primary school in its premises.
Udupi district panchayat N R L M district programme coordinator Prabhaker Achar gave details on child labour, child marriages and POCSO act.
Nandalike Abbanadka Durgaparameshwari Friends club president Prashanth Poojary presided over the programme. Nandalike gram panchayat vice president Pushpa was the Chief Guest. The school headmaster Prathwiraj Ballal, teacher Rekha Pai, Kedinje school alumni association president Beeretto Dinesh Poojary, school honorary teacher Mamata J, Nandalike Abbanadka Friends club convener Abbanadka Sandeep V Poojary, former secretary Abbanadka Hariprasad Acharya and others were present.
