Kadaba: Woman who suffered burns from hot water dies

Kadaba, Nov 17: A woman from Savanur, identified as Kunhalimma (60) resident of Manthoor in Savanur, who had suffered burn injuries after hot water fell on her, breathed her last without responding to treatment.

Kunhalimma was suffering from depression for the last 18 months. On November 15, she had heated water in the hearth for bath and was carrying the boiling water in a utensil to the bathroom when the utensil she was holding slipped out of her hand as she lost her grip. The hot water had inflicted burn injuries on her body. She was initially admitted into a private hospital in Puttur and then shifted to Wenlock Hospital Mangaluru for treatment. But without responding to treatment, she breathed her last.

A case in this regard was filed in Bellare police station.
