Sullia: Dog trouble - Pillion rider loses life as scooter trips

Sullia, Nov 18: In an accident which happened in Yedamangala on Wednesday November 16, a scooter tripped when its rider tried to suddenly stop the vehicle as a street dog unexpectedly crossed his path. The accident took place when Santhosh of Kerala origin who undertakes rubber tapping work at Yedamangala Kolambe was carrying his elder brother, Suresh (53) on the pillion.

When the two-wheeler fell to the road, Suresh's head banged against the road and he suffered serious injury. He was admitted into the government hospital at Kadaba and then taken to Mangaluru for treatment. But efforts made to save his life proved futile and he breathed his last.

A case in this connection was filed in Bellare police station.
