Kundapur, Nov 19: The state high court has concluded that the election of the president of Kollur Goddess Mookambika Temple managing committee is invalid. A member of the managing committee, Gopalakrishna Nada, had approached the high court, challenging the said election.

President of the committee, Chandrashekhara Shetty, and another member had resigned. In the selection committee meeting held on April 26, 2021, Nada said, a person who had resigned was again elected as the president.

High court judge Krishna S Dixit, who heard the appeal, found that election of a member who has already resigned is improper. He has passed an order nullifying the election process.
