It is said that the girl student had informed some boys, who happen to be her classmates, about the persistent pestering for her telephone number by a male classmate from another faith. The three students reportedly approached the male student for questioning his behaviour, at which angry students belonging to his community assaulted these three students. The students who were injured in the incident, were hospitalised. Two students from the opposite gang also got admitted into hospital, it is learnt.

It is said that a girl student of the said college had clicked selfie in the company of two male students belonging to another faith and uploaded the same as display picture in her mobile phone. This incident had given rise to a sense of restlessness among the college students. Because of this feeling, incidents of this kind are happening it is being reasoned.
