Mangaluru, Nov 19: The anniversary of the Franciscan congregation was celebrated at the Angelore church, Mangaluru here recently.
Fr John Fernandes celebrated holy mass with Angelore church parish priest William Menezes and a guest priest. Members of the congregation and nuns took part in the mass. It was followed by an entertainment programme in the church auditorium.
Fr William Menezes, Fr John Fernandes and assistant priest Fr Lawrence Cutinha were the guests of honour. The silver jubilee of the priesthood of Fr John Fernandes was celebrated on the occasion.
Congregation president Cynthia Rosario welcomed. Mary Patrao congratulated. Fr William Menezes gave a homily. Fr John Fernandes expressed his gratitude. Sunita D’ Souza compered the programme. Denis D’ Souza rendered the vote of thanks. The programme ended after meals.
