Mangaluru: Gold smuggling from Dubai detected, seized

Mangaluru, Nov 20: On Friday November 19, customs officials on duty at the airport here recovered 681 grams of gold that was found to have been smuggled into India. This gold was brought to the airport here by a person from Sullia who came from Dubai.

The value of the said gold has been put at Rs 34.32 lac.

The accused had brought gold that had been converted into paste, the customs officials said. They added that a case has been registered against the passenger concerned.
