Christians protest at Shimoga over anti-conversion bill

Shivamogga, Nov 20: The intended Anti Conversion Bill as well as the Survey of the Christian Churches by the government of Karnataka was opposed by the Christians of Shimoga, today, Friday November 19, 2021.

Dr Francis Serrao, bishop of Shimoga, Dr Joseph Arumachadath, bishop of Bhadravathi, pastor Yesudass, president of Pastors Association, pastors of Catholic, CSI and various other churches, sisters and a large number of Christian faithful were present. A memorandum was submitted to the chief minister of Karnataka through the deputy commissioner at 10.55 am.

The protest was organised by the Karnataka United Christian Forum for Human Rights. The local convenor Fr Jerome Moras had made all the necessary arrangements.
