Udupi: Cheating with promise of marriage – Girl files complaint

Udupi, Nov 22: A cheating case has been registered in the women’s police station here. A 25-year-girl from Tamil Nadu being the complainant has stated that she has been cheated by a person named Prashant Modaliar, a resident of Manipal.

According to the complaint lodged, Prashant and the girl were known to each other from 2018 during their studies in Madras University. Both were in love with each other. Prashanth had promised to marry her. On June 26, 2021 Prashanth invited the girl to Manipal where he was working. He indulged in physical relationship with her.

After the incident, it has been stated that Prashanth started giving reasons about their horoscopes being not matched. The victim has now filed a complaint in the women’s police station here.
