Mangaluru, Nov 22: Campus Front of India (CFI) held protests near Parari junction in the outskirts condemning the rape of minor girl at Ulayibettu Parari factory, urging to arrest the suspects and punish them severely.

Ulayibettu third ward gram panchayat member Azhar Ulayibettu said that the rapes in the country can be curtailed only when the rapists are hanged to death. “It is inevitable that the district administration should watch the workers arriving from outside the state. Most of the construction sites have employees from Uttar Pradesh and Bihar here. The district administration should take the initiative to employ local people. The Moulana Azad building work that is in progress also has most of the workers from Uttar Pradesh and Bihar,” he said.

CFI district president Sarfraz said that the police department should not bow to any pressure in this connection.” It should conduct detailed investigations, arrest the suspects and severely punish them,” he requested.
