Mangaluru: State Wakf Board chairman Moulana Shafi Saadi visits district

Mangaluru, Nov 23: On Monday November 22, the newly elected state wakf board chairman, Moulana Shafi Saadi, visited Dakshina Kannada district for the first time after his elevation. He visited various Muslim leaders and institutions.

On his arrival at the airport here, Saadi was received by leaders. He was accompanied by Wakf Baord members, Riaz Khan and Yakub Hosanagara.

From the airport, Saadi went to Perla dargah near Bajpe and then met Muslim Central Committee president Mohammed Masood and sought his guidance. Masood felicitated Saadi on this occasion. He then went to the Zeenat Baksh mosque at Bunder, Saidani Bibi Dargah, Fauzi Jumma Masjid in police lines and the hostel. He also visited Yenepoya Medical College and Hospital Deralakatte and Kanachur Medical College Hospital. Yenepoya University chancellor, Yenepoya Abdullah Kunhi, Kanachur Education Trust chairman U K Kanachur Moni, S M Rashid and others were present.
