Shobha Opts to Prove her 'Innocence' at Dharmasthala

Shobha Opts to Prove her 'Innocence' at Dharmasthala

From Our Special Correspondent
Daijiworld Media Network - Bangalore

Bangalore, Nov 19: If the land scam-tainted Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa wants to prove his 30-month-old BJP Government’s bona-fides by instituting a judicial inquiry headed by a retired judge of the Supreme Court into all land allotments and denotifications during the last 10 years, his protégé and cabinet colleague Shobha Karandlaje prefers an even bigger authority in the form of Lord Manjunatha of Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala to prove her ''innoncence.”

The only woman cabinet minister in the Yeddyurappa regime, who holds the crucial Energy portfolio, was visibly upset at the allegations and insinuations against her integrity when former chief minister and state JD(S) chief H D Kumaraswamy had publicly questioned her integrity by asking how she could run a company and borrow crores of rupees as loans with a meagre monthly salary of Rs 15,000.

The Energy Minister, who addressed a news conference in Bangalore on Friday, took umbrage at Kumaraswamy’s allegations and challenged the latter to come to Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala to prove his charges of corruption against her before Lord Manjunatha.

''I am not corrupt. I have not received bribe either by transferring officials or awarding contracts works or by carrying out inferior quality works,” she said declaring: ''I am ready to answer all questions  and charges of Kumaraswamy before Lord Manjunatha in Dharmasthala.”

Karandlaje said she would bring her parents to the temple and appealed Kumaraswamy also to bring his parents to the temple to proclaim the truth in their presence.

''I have not taken a bribe of even Rs five,” she claimed.

She released copies of a three-page letter written by her to Yeddyurappa and said many people in the district go to Dharmasthala to tell the truth and get disputes settled.

''Nobody has the guts to tell lies before Lord Manjunatha. I am ready swear before Lord Manjunatha and answer all the charges of Kumaraswamy,” she said.

Karandlaje pointed out that nearly 90 per cent of the people of the state have faith in God. ''As several years are required to settle the dispute in the court, I appeal to Kumaraswamy to come to the temple and level the allegations before Lord Manjunatha. I am not demanding any other proof,” she said.

The minister explained that she started a company named Kapila-Manjushri Apparels Private Limited during the political crisis in 2006-07.

''I pledged a housing site allotted to me by former Chief Minister N Dharam Singh and borrowed Rs three crore loan from the State Bank of India to start the firm,” she said.

She explained that she started an agency to sell garments of Aravind Mills with a commission of 16 per cent.

But as much as 14 per cent of the commission goes towards the repayment of the loan. The company incurred loss on account of the meagre margins. The company is now being run by Laxman and Praveen, she said.

The minister also disclosed that she purchased 166 acres of coffee plantation Tannimani near Bhagmandala, Kodagu district in 2007 by obtaining Rs five crore loan from the Federal Bank. She claimed to have pledged the property to secure the loan.

''I have come up in life the hard way. I know what it means to survive. I don’t believe in acquiring ill-gotten wealth,” she declared and wondered how it was wrong for a woman to start a company or buy coffee estate. ''Is there any law against such activities?” she asked.

Ms. Shobha when you are kicked out from ministry and your own party people told that you are useless, involving others matters, you are corrupt, and you are BSY ………..so on. Where were you at that time? Now you are asking the people who brought your corruption in limelight to come Dharmasthala to prove. Please do not spoil such a great holy place and you are not having any moral to take that name too. Never ever take that name because that place and the person who is living there is God fearing person. He is a great and one of the honest persons in the world.
Of course you have not taken Rs. five bribe and surely you won’t take that much less too. May be you are taken Rs. Five Crores. You better to share with Mr. Yeddi as well Mr. Reddy too. Good Luck and enjoy your life.

Another bomb is going to explode!
    The charming Minister Shobha is
    following the footstep of her
Master and trying to settle the
issues in front of God, not in
    front of the electorate.

God was never been busy in recent
times like He is faced with the
constant knock on Him, day and
night by the CM and Shobha is
going to give double duty to God.

Please remember, Almighty God is not
a plaything and an easy shield to
hide our dirty tricks and corrupted
way of life. God can turn everything upside down before our
eyes in a matter of seconds.

Another Joker. This female does not fear even GOD. It seems that all these BJP politicians have taken the route of GOD as a broker as GOD does not react immediately, but they do not know that there will be a verdict at some point. Our CM is another who has made GOD a means to cover all his ill doings and gaining emotional advantage. These people will rot some day.

There is nothing wrong, woman to start a company or buy coffee estate. Passing this age, where is your husband ? How you can do all without husband and growing closer to Yeddy ? You have succeeded to get loan, status....becuase of men support, political support and what all support only you and yourself know it !! A reminder, thousand of women even failed repeatedly to get few thousands of loan ! Well done Shobha. Forget Kumaraswamy and Dharmastalla, enjoy your wealthy life to the maximum till you can !!.

To silence myself, I am really proud of you to your service to poorest of the poor, always ready to work for the socially down trodden people, honest to your job and above all you are really a bold, ambitious and gritty women to succeed in life.

Probably Sri Kshethra Dharmasthala & Lord Manjunath are bigger and truthful than even a retired Supreme Court judge.

Instead asking his sons, daughter & son-in-law to return the sites & lands allotted to them, Yeddyurappa would do well to follow Shobha's advice & take everybody to Dharmasthala. That will save lot of taxpayer's money, which can be used for distributing more sarees or even rice!

Its a wonderful way to settle disputes...or ask people to confess. So next time if the accused doesn't accept the charges laid against him/her...Dharmastala is the must go place...I think the courts must shut down and transfer all corruption cases to Dharmastala where although lord manjunath can't speak the corrupt ministers will speak for our lord and reject the allegations. Wow are we in the 21st centry or what, somehow feels like i am in the 14th century. Karandlaje clearly lacks common sense and wisdom and she is running the treasure ministry.
