Madikeri: Setback for efforts as nine students test Covid positive

Madikeri, Dec 4: Covid infection that was under control for the last two months has begun to take students into its clutches. Coronavirus19 infection was found among nine students of Bharathiya Vidyabhavan high school in Madikeri.

The infection was noticed among two eighth standard students during the previous week. Therefore, all the students were put through tests. On Friday December 3, the results were received. They showed that the infection was found among nine students of the same class in which the above two students study.

Giving this information, the district health officer said that the school management has been told to subject all the students from sixth to tenth standard to Covid test. He said that the examinations are continuing, and the students who tested positive are asymptomatic. He said that they have been kept separate from their families in their own houses.
