Udupi, Dec 6: The 5th project of Global Barkurians' Charitable Trust (R) was handed over to the benificiary on Sunday December 5, 2021. Fr Philip Neri Aranha, parish priest Barkur inaugurated and blessed the house built by Global Barkurians' Charitable Trust (R) for Sylvan D'Almeida, Nagarmutt Barkur.

In his address to the gathering Fr Philip Neri Aranha said, "Let the Lord's blessings shower upon this house and the family. A lot of energy, thought has gone into making this house. The family should now convert this house into a home filled with happiness and peace. Moving into a new home is an exciting moment or time because it heralds new beginnings and hope for dreams fulfilled". He also thanked all who were involved in the construction process of a new beautiful house for Sylvan including the man at the helm of affairs Divyanand Gonsalves and his dedicated team.

Global Barkurians' Charitable Trust (R) is a year old trust which has been instrumental in providing aid to the deserved. The trust has successfully completed five projects within one year.

In his brief introductory talk, on behalf of Global Barkurians' Charitable Trust (R), Archibald Furtado, spoke about the prestigious 5th project of the young registered Trust. The farsighted vision of its founders and team of 16 members to bring a smile on the face of the last, least and lost in our own community and in the neighborhood.

While recognizing the presence, co-operation and contribution from various people in the fulfilment of this small beautiful house, the main project in charge, Divyanand Gonsalves was thanked for his untiring efforts and honoured with a bouquet. The Gurkar of the Ward Joseph Fernandes too was appreciated for his true concern for less privileged in the ward and his all time readiness to help them spontaneously. As a token of his heartfelt gratitudes, to GBCT, and Team barkuronline.com, Sylvan expressed his thanks and happiness by offering a bouquet to Ophelia Gonsalves.

Help and co-operation of the neighborhood Patrick Andrade, Ivan Dlima, Ronnie Andrade and others was also recognized and were given bouquet as a token of gratitude. The donours and financial support from far and near and generosity in kind by various well-wishers was specially recalled and remembered and bouquet as a token of respect was presented to Dolphy DSouza on behalf of all of them.

Sylvan Almeida thanked everyone for the great gift offered.
