Moodbidri: Mount Rosary Hospital, Catholic Sabha hold free health check-up camp

Moodbidri, Dec 6: Mount Rosary Hospital and Catholic Sabha held a free health check-up camp at Mount Rosary hospital premises, Alangar here on December 5.

Fr Edwin C Pinto who presided over the hall programme said that a dialysis centre will be opened in the hospital soon. “May all benefit from the camp,” he said.

Catholic Sabha Moodbidri zone spiritual director Fr Deepak Noronha of the Norbertine congregation inaugurated the camp after lighting the lamp and wished the camp well. Hospital trustee Sunil Mendes inaugurated the free health card. Management officer Sr Diana D’ Souza welcomed and informed about the services available in the camp. Chief Guest, Catholic Sabha Moodbidri zone president Manohar Cutinha, Secretary Wilson Pinto, ENT surgeon Dr Shushanth Shetty, eye surgeon Dr Vinay and Ronald Colaco were present.

More than 587 people benefited from the health camp. Free spectacles were distributed to 170 people. Free health cards were issued to the camp participants.

Members of various units of Catholic Sabha and Mount Rosary nuns served as volunteers and joined hands for the success of the camp.

Sr Prathisba compered the programme. Manohar Cutinha rendered a vote of thanks.
