Kundapur: Tallur Makki Ganapaiah Shetty awarded prize for excellent agriculture

Kundapur, Dec 9: “The love, affection and activities of Haddoor Rajiv Shetty were in favor of the poor,” said former Vidhan Parishad speaker K Pratapchandra Shetty.

He was speaking after presenting the award for excellent agriculture in a programme held in memory of late Haddoor Rajiv Shetty at Shankaranarayana Kondalli school on December 9.

“The society respects all those who serve the people across the parties. There are people pro and against in politics. The work of elders should be the guide for the youth. May the work of Haddoor Rajiv Shetty be a model for the future generation,” he said.

The first year’s birth anniversary award in memory of Haddoor Rajiv Shetty was presented to Tallur Makki Ganapaiah Shetty. Byndoor MLA B M Sukumar Shetty unveiled the statue of late Haddoor Rajiv Shetty constructed in his house premises.

The poor people were provided monetary help and details of eye donations on the occasion.

Mangaluru KMF president Raviraj Hegde, vice president Prakashchandra Shetty, Soukur temple managing committee president N Manjayya Shetty Sabladi, Shankernarayana gram panchayat president Lata, VHP leader Katkere Premananda Shetty, entrepreneur Sudhaker Shetty, Mamata Shetty, wife of late Rajiv Shetty were present.

Advocate Umesh Shetty Shankat welcomed. Krishna Murthi said a prayer. Taluk panchayat former member Umesh Shetty rendered a vote of thanks, Prabhaker Shetty compered the programme.
