Udupi: Train runs over leopard at Brahmavar

Udupi, Dec 10: In an incident that occurred on the late night of Wednesday, December 9, a leopard was killed when it came under a speeding train.

This incident took place at Neelavar of Brahmavar taluk.

The leopard was thrown into the nearby fields from the railway track due to the impact of the collision with the train. Locals opine that the leopard might have come in search of food from a nearby hill.

Kundapur zonal forest officers visited the spot and did the post mortem of the dead leopard. They will bury the leopard after completing the formalities.
