Mumbai: Family stabbed in Kalyan flat, father dead, wife, son seriously injured

Mumbai, Dec 13: A family of three were stabbed in a flat at Kalyan in Thane district on Sunday. While the father lost his life, wife and son are grievously injured.

The deceased is identified as Pramod Baneria (55). He was a former railway employee. His wife Kusum (45) and son Lokesh (27) received serious injuries in the incident.

The neighbouring flat people alerted the police at around 1 pm about the incident. The flat is located at Chikanghar. Injured son and wife are admitted to hospital at Sion. According to police, the deceased must have stabbed his wife and son and then killed himself.

A case in this regard is registered in MFC police station. Inspector Pradip Patil is investigating further.
