Kolar: Never approached JD(S) for power - Siddaramaiah hits back at HDK

Daijiworld Media Network - Kolar (SP)

Kolar, Dec 13: Former chief minister, Siddaramaiah, insisted that his party had never approached the doorsteps of the JD(S) leaders asking them to rule the state. However, he agreed that a dialogue had taken place with that party in the past.

He was speaking to the media persons on Sunday December 12 after visiting ailing former minister R Malappa in the hospital. He asserted that he had never visited the residence of the JD(S) leaders. He was responding to Kumaraswamy's statement about the Congress having offered him the post of the chief minister.

He wanted to know why the JD(S) has not opposed the prevention of cow slaughter bill. He accused the JD(S) of fielding its candidates in six constituencies and ensuring that in other places, the JD(S) supporters voted for the BJP. He angrily said that the JD(S) has always been the B team of the BJP.

He wondered why the JD(S) leaders reacted for his 'B' team comment even though he had not mentioned its name. He said that the JD(S) leaders are jittery because of a feeling of guilt.
