Bengaluru, Dec 14: The visit of Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai, soon after the commencement of the winter session of the State Legislature in Belagavi Suvarna Vidhana Soudha on Monday, to attend the BJP Chief Ministers’ conference convened by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh to coincide with the inauguration of the first phase of the Kashi Vishwanath Dham project also on Monday evening, provided an excellent opportunity to take part in visit the holy temple of Kashi Vishwanath besides have a dip in the river Ganga to the Chief Minister and his wife.

Varanasi is the parliamentary constituency of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Bommai, who was accompanied by his wife Channamma, offered a special pooja to Kashi Vishwanath on Tuesday morning besides having special darshan of Lord Kashi Vishwanath.

The Chief Minister was accompanied by his Uttarakhand counterpart Pushkar Singh Dhami, his wife and family while visiting the holy river Ganga.
