Beltangady: PDO nabbed when accepting bribe

Beltangady, Dec 14: Panchayat development officer (PDO) of Maladi gram panchayat in the taluk was arrested by a team of Anti-Corruption Bureau officials on Monday December 13. It is said that the team found him accepting bribes relating to certain land documents.

The raid was conducted when the PDO was accepting Rs 15,000 by way of bribe from a villager relating to issuing property document under rule 9/11. The arrested employee was Ravi. As it was found that he had accepted bribe prima facie, the officials took him into custody for further questioning.
