Mumbai: Financial dispute - Two men kill friend, arrested

Mumbai, Dec 18: Two farm labourers were arrested by the Palghar police for killing their friend over a financial dispute.

Locals found a decomposed body of a 40 year old man near well in Arnala. They informed the police and on autopsy it was noted that the person was murdered. Based on the last sighting of the victim with a person of Dongarpada in Virar, he was arrested.

The farm labourer who was killed is identified as Harish Nathu Padal. He also used to do fishing business along with the persons who killed him. However, it has come to light that they used to quarrel over sharing the profit from fishing. In addition, all used to consume alcohol.

The day the victim was murdered, a heated argument ensued between the three and the other two men killed him by hitting a blunt object on his head. Both the murderers threw his body near the well and walked away.

A case in this connection is registered by the police and the duo is taken into custody.
