Mumbai, Dec 20: St Jude Church Jerimeri and Konkani Association Charitable Trust (KACT) held a programme on Saturday, December 18 to felicitate Fr Leo Clement Lobo, assistant parish priest of St Jude Church who celebrated golden jubilee of his priesthood.

Assistant Bishop of Delhi diocese, Rt Rev Deepak Valerian Tauro hailing from Chikkamagalur, Karnataka was the Chief Guest of the programme. He said that our culture is the foundation of our peaceful living and is a symbol of our prestige. He honoured and congratulated Fr Leo Clement Lobo on behalf of KACT.

St Jude church parish priest Fr Avin Franklin, deacon Fr K Silvester, Sr Seema Thomas, Divo Konkani weekly editor Lawrence Coelho, Bombay Catholic Sabha Jerimeri unit president Flora D’ Souza Kalmadi, KACT president Leo Fernandes, vice president Walter D’ Souza Kamadi were on the dais.

Fr Avin welcomed and introduced the assistant Bishop. Mamata Chetiar introduced Fr Leo Clement Lobo. Assistant bishop Deepak V Tauro offered thanksgiving mass at the beginning of the programme and blessed the devotees.

Nuns of Jagruti Kendra, Sr Anita Menezes, Sr Nevral Nuto, Susan Lawrence Coelho, Immanuel Fernandes, Gregory Monis, Christians Tamil Sangha, Konkan Taran Jerimeri, Jude church PPC office bearers and others conveyed their wishes. Cyril Castelino introduced the guests, compered the programme and rendered a vote of thanks.
