Kundapur: Kuriyaje Tirumaleshwara Bhat chosen for Appanna Hegde Krishi award

Kundapur, Dec 20: Kuriyaje Tirumaleshwara Bhat is selected for the coveted Basrur Appanna Hegde Krishi award, which is given by Basrur Appanna Hegde foundation every year on his birthday.

The award ceremony will be held at 4 pm on December 24 at the Sharada College campus of Basrur. In addition to the award cash aid will be given to students, sick people and poorer sections of the society on the occasion of 87th birthday of Appanna Hegde.

Minister for law and parliamentary affairs J C Madhuswamy will preside over the function. Blessings will be given by Sri Vidyaprasanna Theertha Swamiji of Subramanya Math. This information was conveyed by Ramkishan Hegde, former vice president of Kundapur taluk panchayat.

Kuriyaje Tirumaleshwara Bhat is a resident of Kuriyaje near Bellare in the taluk of Sullia. In the past few years he has shown commendable achievement in the field of agriculture. His farm has hundreds of varieties of herbs including those imported from abroad.
