Mumbai: Rani Chennabhairadevi memorial award presented to Sushila Chittani

Mumbai, Dec 20: Mayuravarma Samskritika Prathistana, Mumbai presented its first award recently to author Sushila Ramachandra Hegde Chittani at Kalashree auditorium, Uttara Kannada district recently.

Scholar Umakanth Bhat was the chief guest of the programme. District panchayat former member Srikala Shastri conveyed her wishes to the silent efforts of Sushila Hegde. Dr G L Hegde Kumta said that Sushila Hegde is the force behind Padmashree Ramachandra Hegde.

Honorary secretary of the pratistana, Vishwanath Dodmane welcomed. Retired principal S G Hegde congratulated the organizers. Senior teacher T N Bhat compered the programme. Convener Keshava Kible rendered vote of thanks.

Teja, Srinidhi and Gayatri performed dances in the end. Vidwan Umakanth Bhat Kerekai, Dr G L Hegde Kumta and Doddamane T N Bhat performed Yakshagana titled ‘Sharasethu Bandhana’.
