Mumbai, Dec 20: The Kannada department of Mumbai University under the joint participation of Mysuru association Mumbai held ‘Sahitya Sambhrama’ programme at Mysuru association auditorium here on December 19.

Dr Durgappa Y Kotiyavar who was awarded Ph D for his thesis titled ‘Mumbai Kannada Gadya Sahitya’ and Kumuda Alva who was awarded M Phil for her thesis titled ‘Mumbai Kannada Mukhavanigalu’ were felicitated on behalf of university Kannada department with shawls and medals.

In the day long programme, Kolyaru Raju Shetty, Narayana Navilekar, Nithyananda D Kotian, Vivek Shanbhog, S Daya, Dr Dakshayani Yadahalli, Dr Uma Rao, Chidananda Bhagwath, K M Kotian, S K Sunder, Dr Ishwar Alevoor, Dr Bharath Kumar Polipu, Jaya C Salian, Prabhaker Devadiga, Dr Rama Udupa, Dr Ganapathi Shankeralinga and Nalina Prasad were on the dais.

Kala Bhagwath compered the programme. Dr Ganapathi Shankeralinga rendered a vote of thanks.
