Karkala, Dec 21: Ganesh A S (44), a mechanical engineer from Manjalpalke in Bola village here, ended his life by hanging himself from the roof beam at his home on Monday December 20.
Ganesh was teaching mechanical engineering in a private educational institution. He also used to function as mediator for land disputes in his spare time.
It is said that in connection with a land deal, there was a dispute over the right of way which could not be resolved in spite of his best efforts. Ganesh reportedly was overwhelmed by worries on this issue. He hanged himself when he was alone at his home, duly leaving behind a death note.
A case relating to this incident has been registered in the rural police station here.
