Mumbai: Newly married couple stabbed at Palghar

Mumbai, Dec 21: In an incident that occurred on Sunday in Nallasopara area under Tulinj police station, a newly married couple was stabbed at their home.

According to details given by SI Rajendra Kamble of Tulinj police station, the attacker allegedly entered the home of a 24 year old man and his wife who is 22 years old, late in the night by breaking the front door and stabbed both.

The neighbours rushed to the help of the couple, when they heard their screams. Both were rushed to the nearby hospital where they are said to be recuperating.

The police suspect the hand of the woman's former lover who had come all the way from Uttar Pradesh to carry out the attack as revenge on the woman.
