Mangaluru, Dec 22: “The district BJP will welcome the decision taken by the Basavaraj Bommai government on anti-conversion bill,” said BJP spokesperson Jagadish Shenava on Wednesday December 22.

“The BJP government has tabled the anti-conversion bill. Dakshina Kannada will congratulate the Bommai government for this decision. Several innocent people especially Hindus were converted forcefully after luring them. People are converted by giving them only Rs 500 to Rs 2,000. Poverty is being misused by telling lies. Several missionaries used to convert the poor Hindus. The bill will put a break to conversion activities.

“The big group which used to convert innocent Hindus is now in a fix,” he said.
