Bengaluru: Jains, Sikhs not part of Hinduism – Former CM Siddaramaiah

Daijiworld Media Network – Bengaluru (MS)

Bengaluru, Dec 27: “The trend of showing Jain, Lingayats and Sikhs as part of Hinduism is a bad development,” said leader of opposition and former CM Siddaramaiah.

Siddaramaiah was speaking at a programme in the city. He further said, “Did Basavanna accept Vaidika Dharma? Did he accept blind beliefs? Some people are trying to fool the public. If we do not speak with courage and confidence against this plot, it is not possible to save the constitution given by Dr Ambedkar.

“Recently music director Hamsalekha tried to open up the reality of Hinduism. A huge controversy was created on his statement. There is no relation between the statement given by Hamsalekha and the section 295 imposed in the case against him.”

Speaking at the ceremony on the controversy that was created because of his statement on Dalita-Balita at a function at Mysuru recently, music director Hamsalekha said, “I am not a coward. I have played dirty games on Magadi Road. There is a long history to it. I want to thank the people of Karnataka who stook with me in the controversy. Let Siddaramaiah, who gave free milk to the children of Karnataka, become the CM once again. Let his eradicate ‘Dharmocracy’ and save ‘Democracy.”
