Kundapur: Police arrest one for illegal cow slaughter

Kundapur, Dec 28: Gangolli police arrested for slaughtering cow illegally.

Acting on definite information the police team led by Gangolli SI Nanja Naik raided the land belonging to cashewnut corporation near Manky Cross of Gujjady village in Gangolli and arrested Mohammed Ibrahim (41), resident of Gangolli. Another person absconded from the spot.

It is said that the duo used to steal the cows that were left for grazing, slaughter them and sell its meat. Police confiscated one cattle and the instruments used to slaughter the cattle.

A case in this connection is registered in Gangolli police station.
