Mumbai, Dec 29: Covid ward is full and now expanding capacity in the Mumbai hospitals according to the information shared by industrialist Harsh Goenka. He said that five days ago the cases were the lowest but on Tuesday Covid ward is completely filled with Omicron infections.

On Monday, the city reported 809 cases and three deaths. On Sunday, the cases reported surged to 922. The doubling of caseload time was 967 days.

Goenka tweeted that Covid news from Mumbai hospital is not good. Five days ago we had lowest number of cases and today the ward is full. He also asked people to stop partying and take care of themselves as well as others as Omicron is spreading fast.

Omicron might not be as severe in India as western countries as per Goenka and also said that in South Africa it is subdued. The doctors said that the natural immunity of South Africans is better than that of Westerners. Similarly, Goenka hopes that Omicron will not spread much in India as the natural immunity of Indians is far better.
