Bantwal: MLA Rajesh Naik distributes compensation to families of Covid-19 victims

Bantwal, Dec 31: MLA Rajesh Naik on Friday December 31 distributed compensation cheques released by the government to the families of Covid-19 victims.

Speaking at his office after the distribution of cheque in presence of Revenue department officials, MLA said, "The compensation given by the government is a small financial assistance. The precious lives which we have lost cannot be valued.

"India has faced the Covid situation very effectively. The whole world was astonished to the way how we tackled the situation. It is because of the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. It is not easy to vaccinate 135 crore people in the country," he said.

Former MLA Padmanabha Kottary, Philathabettu gram panchayat president Harshini Pushpananda, Golthamajal gram panchayat president Abhishek Shetty, Ananthady gram panchayat president Ganesh Poojary, Ammunje gram panchayat president Vamana Acharya, Kukkipady gram panchayat president Sujatha R Poojary, Kavalamoodoor gram panchayat vice president Ajith Shetty and others were present.

Tahsildar Narendranath Bhat, Mithoor Revenue inspector Kumar TC, Manjunath and others were present.
