Bantwal, Jan 1: “Disciplined Kambala sports of farmers being held here by youth is a model to others,” said Kakyapadav Seva Sahakari Sangha president Chennappa Salian.

He was speaking after setting in motion the ninth annual Satyadarma Jodukare Bayalu Kambala at Kakyapadav – Barkejalu, Uli grama.

Kakyapadav Panchadurga High school convener Damodar Nayak presided over the programme.

District Kambala committee president Rohit Hegde Ermal, Uligrama gram panchayat president Suresh Maira, vice president Chidananda Rai Kakya, entrepreneur Natesh Poojary Bengaluru, progressive farmer Sudhaker Shetty Shankerabettu conveyed their wishes. Gram panchayat member Chetan Urdottu, Kambala committee president Kusumadhara Urki, vice president Latish Kukkaje, Tushar Bhandar Punkedadi, vice president Santappa Poojary Hattadadka, Ramanjaneya Gelayara Balaga president Mahendra Kayar Guri, Treasurer Umesh Poojary and others were present.

Shivananda Maira welcomed. Advocate Ranjith Maira rendered vote of thanks. Prashanth Maira compered the programme.
