Newly elected MLCs formally take oath

Bengaluru, Jan 6: The newly elected members of the Karnataka Legislative Council formally took the oath at a function held in the banquet hall of Vidhana Soudha on Thursday.

Council Chairman Basavaraj Horatti and Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai participated in the function along with ministers and supporters of the newly elected MLCs.

CM invited for Udupi Paryaya

Social Welfare and Backward Classes Minister Kota Srinivas Poojary, Water Resources Minister Govind M Karjol and Udupi MLA Raghupati Bhat called on the Chief Minister at his office in the morning and extended an invitation to participate in the Udupi Sri Krishna Mutt Paryaya Celebration. Former Chief Minister and ex-Union Minister DV Sadananda Gowda was also present.

A delegation led by Karnataka Bank Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Mahabaleshwara called on the Chief Minister along with Social Welfare and Backward Classes Minister Kota Srinivas Poojary and MLA Raghupati Bhat.

Former Legislative Council Chairman and senior BJP leader DH Shanakaramurthy called on the Chief Minister in his office in the morning.

Legislators Ayanur Manjunath and DN Jeevaraj were present during the meeting.

Later, IFFCO Managing Director and CEO Dr Uday Shankar Avasthi of New Delhi called on Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai and held discussions with him.
