Kasargod, Jan 10: A decision of limiting the maximum number of attendees in marriage and funeral functions to 50 was taken in a meeting that was presided by chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan due to the increasing cases of Omicron in the state.

Crowding of people is prohibited. All kinds of religious, political, cultural and other programmes are prohibited. All have to follow Covid guidelines. Most of the programmes have to be held online. Only very necessary programmes need to be held under Covid guidelines. Public programmes are prohibited.

It was also decided in the meeting not to impose weekend curfew and additional restrictions at present. Schools will not be closed now. Crowding is prohibited in private and public programmes. More controlling measures will be looked into in the next assessment meeting.
