Bengaluru: Enchanted by Swamiji, minor girl rescued by police

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (SP)

Bengaluru, Jan 11: It has been revealed with delay that a 15-year-old girl who fought with her mother on January 1, had deserted her home and joined an Ashram located in Uttarahalli here.

Father of the girl, G Chandramauli, resident of Thurahalli, filed a complaint in Talaghattapura police station. He said that in the past, Atmananda Saraswathi Swamiji had offered to ordain the girl in the path of religious service. He therefore expressed the suspicion that his missing daughter might have been kept in the Swamiji's Ashram. The police who went to the Ashram, made enquiries and found the girl who had been sheltered in the said Ashram. They admitted her into the child care center near NIMHANS here.

It is gathered that at about 5 pm on January 1, the girl had quarrelled with her mother. She then had locked up her mother and her uncle in a room and left home on a TVS two-wheeler belonging to her father. Later, a search was launched. During the search, her vehicle was found parked in front of the Ashram run by Atmananda Saraswathi Swamiji at Uttarahalli.

Chandramauli alleged that his daughter would have been enchanted by the tricks played on her by the Swamiji. The police said that they are not framing any charges against the Swamiji as the girl stated that she came to the Ashram on her own volition.

Chandramauli had been a devotee of the said Swamiji in the past. It is said that he had visited the said Ashram a few times, and also had allowed his daughter to stay there for two months. On this occasion, the Swamiji reportedly offered to ordain the girl into religious service. But it is said that her uncle opposed the plan. The girl then filed complaint of sexual harassment against her uncle after which the police had arrested him.

Sometimes girls can do things which bring their parents in conflict and problems.Samething here too I am sure girl had filed wrong complaint on uncle of sexuell harassment just to slip off.Because uncle opposed.Let the girl be first 18 years and then decide what she wants.Enchantment in that age on girls can have lot of changes in mind.Parents should first of all explain clearly .Swamis too should be careful and dont make them such offers at small age ,later girls may not be happy.
