Bantwal: 60-year-old man ends life

Bantwal, Jan 29: A 60-year-old man allegedly ended his life after jumping into the river from a minor bridge in Nandavara of Panemangalore on Saturday January 29.

The deceased is Devappa Madivala, a resident of Madivala Padpu, Sajeepamunoor village of Bantwal taluk.

He was a management committee member of Muguliya Shri Subramanya temple and a progressive farmer.

Devappa, who came from his home to the town, took the extreme step. Bantwal town police rushed to the spot after locals informed them. Later, with help of locals, mortal remains was fished out from the water. A case was registered in Bantwal town police station.
