Mangaluru: Man who consumed poison mixed with liquor succumbs

Mangaluru, Jan 31: A person who had consumed poison mixed with liquor at Kollur Padavu within the limits of Mulky police station and was admitted into hospital passed away without responding to treatment.

The deceased was Sudhakar Bangera (58), a local. He passed away on Sunday January 30.

Sudhakar was a liquor addict. He had consumed poison along with liquor a few days back. As he fell seriously ill, he had been admitted into the Wenlock Hospital here. He was treated there but his condition did not improve.

Sudhakar was working as a coolie. He has left behind a wife and two children. The Mulky police have registered a case and are investigating.
