Chikkamagaluru: Car runs amuck - One dead, three injured

Chikkamagaluru, Feb 1: A car which moved haphazardly on the road caused the death of a person and injuries to three persons. This incident happened at Sringeri on Monday January 31.

Hebbige Vishwanath Rao, a retired teacher living near Addagadde village, who was at the wheels at the time of the accident, has been taken into custody by the police. The accident had happened on Bharathi Street, the main road in Sringeri town.

Nagesh (52), a coolie from Melnemar Hoskere was killed in this accident which happened on Monday morning. The car which took to the said street from Bharathi Chok, moved very fast till the market, causing serial accidents. Three were injured in the accident.

Nagesh has left behind his wife, son and a daughter.
